Hello !

I am making a small site in the gambling niche on a specific gambling roulette term.
I found some good low comp keywords with approx 1k local hits. i am going to promote my gambling affiliates trough it, so there will be no adsense or w/e on the site.

the problem is that all keywords contain the term "roulette" and all of them + diverse varations of them are taken as domain names.

What domain shall i take? does roulette-keyword1.com still work or is that too dumb?

I think it'd work just fine. I don't think it's dumb at all.

I have domains with dashes as well and it does NOT affect your organic seo especially after google's exact domain name algorithm. In most of my cases it actually helped . Also, don't forget about the .org extension as there is something community minded about a .org like a "common cause" thing

ye by roulette-keyword1.com i didnt ment the - but the 1 after the keyword..

also, is it okay to buy a domain with 2 keywords in the domain name?
like; roulette-keyword-keyword.com and then rank it for both keywords if the content for both keywords is on the homepage.

I'd pick a roulette related term:

    allonblack.com
    allonred.com
    spinthewheel.com
    eyesdown.com
    outsidebet.com

Have a look at this page for inspiration: Roulette Glossary, Terminology, Jargon, Slang, Vocabulary

Having keywords in the domain is no big advantage, better to build a brand so people remember the domain name

I wouldnt worry too much about the domain name...the content and anchor text of your back links are the biggest factors in what term you rank for....

+1 to this. Think outside the box instead of going for the standard SEO-optimized domain names which are ugly & tbh whenever I see those domain names, I will just click X because I know the 90% of those sites are not of value.

Dashes in the domain name are a bad user experience If you ever plan on traffic returning to your site. Odds are they land on the non-dash domain before they find your site (typo, no dash).

If you Google the keyword roulette the 3rd ranked site is wizardofodds[dot]com, goes to show EMDs aren't important for ranking a page.

If .com domains are not available, go for .org domains. They are really good and can be remembered easily by the viewers than other extensions.

Yes, this would work just fine. The most important thing is that you have BOTH your keywords (your main keyword -> roulette & also your secondary keyword -> keyword1) in your URL. Next add your keywords in Title and Description, do not forget keywords in each page and also On-Page SEO, Header tags, alt, etc.

Yes, I also think you should consider .org and .net domains as well. They are exactly as powerful as .com dpmains in the eye of Big G.
