What would you say are the first links you start building for a new small business website?

    I would say it depends on what kind of business it is. In general its better to get contextual and relevant links to a website from other similar websites. So I guess the best links to build first would be relevant ones.

    I give some time, to index properly in Google and I check where it is ranking, then I start slow link building with directory submission, I would say.

    I must say if website is related to some business, we need to also do google places submission first and to get website indexed i do Free submission on directory websites, and then like said by"Hansons" I will do some directory submission...
