Top Heavy Backlink Profiles to Homepage Question

Ideally it is good practice to have a healthy portion of back links pointing back to not only your home page, but other pages on your site as well.

However, if your back link profile is top heavy so to speak, and the back links are primarily pointing to your home page, will that still help raise other pages on your website in the SERPS and increase their rank as well?

For instance if I had a PR 3 home page at mysite.com. Would that help boost other pages on my site such as mysite.com/article or mysite.com/blog even though the back links are targeting the home page?

Thanks

No it will not boost them, however every new page/post you make will get indexed faster.

PR does not helps boost your serps. Google looks for content quality and your website reputation.

Yes I realize PR in and of itself does not boost your serps. But will having a good ranking, optimized, decently PR ranked homepage help rank your other pages as well?

Going to bump this to the top to see if I can get any additional clarification.

With good internal link structure you can pass juice to those internal pages from your homepage, just don't spread yourself too thin

Also, having multiple pages on your site that Google deems relevant for your search term can help your homepage rank for your keywords. So it goes both ways. In your case however I know that you have a long list of keywords that you are hoping to rank for and you are going to need to build links to those pages if you want them to rank for their individual search terms.
