Hello Everyone,

My last post was asking for assistance on SEO in general. Well the suggestions are starting to pay off. My site is now up on the top of google serps for my targeted keywords. Usually spot 2 only after wither angies list or yelp. When searching on a mobile device you get one listing, angeislist then google local results, and then there my site is, first after the local results. I am currently working on bring my google local listing up in the ranks but I want the #1 spot.

Is it possible to overtake results like angies list and yelp when searching for keyword in your town? Does anyone have any experience with this or suggestions that might help?

I feel like I should be satisfies at position 2. My initial goal was to be in the top 3. But now that I have made it to the top 3 I cant stop thinking about spot #1.

Thank You
#angieslist or yelp #rank

If you have Google Local Results before you then you aren't in #2. Maybe I didn't understand. As for the original question, yes it's totally possible to outrank yelp/angies list. You just need links and content.

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain enough. When I do the search from a desktop or laptop I am getting ranked in the #2 spot. When doing the same search from my android browser the results change a bit and there is one listing(angies list) then the local results, then right after the local result that is where I am ranking first after 1 result and local.

You you are up against Google Local (map results) they are out ranking you. Let's say you are behind that one site and 5 map results, those map results are sucking your traffic, you are actually at spot #7. Why don't you register with Google Local/Places? Curious

Right, when searching on mobile phones I am ranking in spot 7 or so. I have a Google Local/Places verified listing. It is showing up on page 3 in the google maps/local results. When searching on the mobile device I there is a see more results option and then I can find my listing on the 3 page. I am trying to get this to move up as well. Added some geo tagged photos this morning I hear that helps. Trying to get a few reviews posted up on there, asked clients via facebook. And researching other ways to move my local listing up.
