Hey,

I have been asking links lately, but I'm confused about the approach. What would be the most perfect approach for asking links from webmaster in specific page or post?

A) Hello, could you please add my links to bla bla, your visitors would benefit from it
B) Exchange links A->B C->A
C) Creating somesort of realtionship with webmaster saying how good the content is etc.. and then the second email would be asking a link.
D) ???

Any other suggestions? What kind of link asking have converted the best for you?

    Honestly, Instead of asking for links directly, find websites in your niche that allow guest blogging and ask them for permission to write on their site. E.g. you must be a good writer.

      Yeh, most will want something back in return. Like a guest post.

      Another option could be to inform them of any broken links they have on their site, and tell them about your great site they could link to instead!

      I'm not a good writer. I'm making grammatical mistakes here and there + I don't have enough $$$ to oursource the articles. That's why I'm trying the mailing thing right now.

    If you have the other guys link on your relevant page before asking them to link to your page, you might have a better chance at getting them to link to you. If they say no, remove their link & repeat with the next site...

    You also need to consider If the site is an IM site, a lot of people blog because they want to, not for money, so give them a reason to link back to you by you having a useful site that the other webmaster would be interested in.

    If you target IM sites, they're most likely only thinking about money ($$).
