Cheapest/best way to buy traffic

Any suggestions as to the best inexpensive way to get paid traffic for the purpose of opting in to email list?
I looked into adwords at google aka media "mob"
What's the most popular way these days to spend a little to get some traffic? Listening to frank kerns videos he said he pays 10-15 CENTS per click which I thought sounded okay, then I went to google and saw it really cost 20-50 times that these days. So obviously Frank does NOT use that anymore.
anyone use paid email list broadcast method? Any other suggestions for buying some traffic?

    Instead of buying traffic, I would try to buy content, content would also give you traffic, if you get your articles written at less competitive keywords.

    Content is still only going to get you so far unless you know how to do the proper SEO and get good backlinking done...otherwise you'll have a great post with no one to look at it and none of us want that

    typically I provide the content for my own site and that is what makes it about me and my style of authority in my niche.
    I'm just really disappointed and shocked over google price for adwords. How can I get in touch with some email blasters? By that I mean to pay a partner money to send my free offer out to my niche related market.

    If you want to pay little money for traffic then you will get what you pay for you can go to traffic exchange sites like easyhit4u but the quality of the traffic will be poor. If you want to get quality traffic then you have to spend a decent amount of money or spend time.


    I think writing your own content and doing your own SEO is the best way to get traffic but if you don't have the time or would rather spend money then pay per click advertising is a great method, also paying for content/links is good.

    You get what you pay for. Google adwords is the best, if your
    site can get in. Probably not if your just an opt-in site.

    Oh I forgot about traffic exchanges...that's pretty darn
    cheap, dirt cheap, and dang fast.

    I've decided to capture on video my journey on building an email list from NOTHING. It will be a Case Study Documentary on how to build an email list from scratch, and I will have all of my present stats documented and record every step I take to get an email list of 5,000 targeted high quality "pals". Keep in mind, I am NOT an IM, at all, though I have a passion for marketing, creating writing and copy.
    I will create a page on my site that will accommodate this documentary Case Study.
    This study will be NO BS, just old fashioned look over my shoulder, and watch me do it (or not), right in front of God and everybody. I've already started recording the video, but have not posted anything yet or got the web page set up yet for the Case Study yet. but it will be at some page at my domain traderrobotics(dot com)

    Well, the cheapest way is to post free ads in classifieds sites. It probably is the cheapest as for the money you would spend on, but it sure takes some time and time is money too!
