Duplicate Content Amazon Review Sites And Pluggins

Hi Guys

There are lots of Amazon plugins sold here on the warrior forum a couple of which i used to great effect before the Google updates,Panda etc.

After the Panda update i changed to reviewing products myself which work ok if your site has only a few items to review.

Now when i comes to creating authority sites eg lots of content, pages and especially products it becomes almost impossible to do unless you have the time on your hands to write your own reviews, but what if you only have a limited amount of time?

The other day i was sent an email with another offer regarding another Amazon plugin that did more or less the same as the plugins i used in the past. When i contacted the vendor and asked about the duplicate content site he said the plugin was very up to date and the duplicate content still only affects your site if you are using the same content on different pages within your site!

He said there is no problem using content from another site as many news services etc do exactly the same and it does not effect them. Also there are hundreds if not thousands of Amazon sites that scrape the content from Amazon and they still get ranked on Google no problem.

So guys what are your views?

    He is correct.

Exactly so. As so many people also point out here, so regularly. The world's leading sports and news websites clearly wouldn't be syndicating almost all their content from places like Reuters and Associated Press if there were any SEO problems involved in doing so, would they?

It's not really a subject for "views". It's more a subject for objective, factual statements of the type that this vendor offered you, which are entirely correct and completely in accordance with what Google goes to such great lengths to publicize.

I suspect that, on some level, you may be confusing "duplicate content" and "syndicated content". The differences between the two are briefly explained in this post and this little article.

Now the old plugin i used previously does not actually work anymore and there is no support anyway.

Do any Warriors recommend an good Amazon plugin that i could use now?
