Help! This is a strange one and I am sure I am missing something so please excuse me if I am missing the obvious.
I am advising on this site Web Design Jobs - Hundreds of the best UK web designer jobs

When you do a search on Google for say Web design jobs this site is listed as :
Web Design Jobs - London.

For some reason it has added in London from somewhere as the title of the website. - see below

I have spent ages - check the source code, the page title, meta tags etc.
Why has Google added in the word London?

I think this is now affecting the results i.e. non London searches and also the CTR. There is no Google places entry. I have also tried extending the page title and it still appears!

Any insight or help appreciated ! thanks.

Google will look at your title tag first. If it seems like not
a good fit for the search, they'll take other snippets
and even add words. They do this to help the searcher.

For future reference to nobody in particular:
Any person who claims to know seo, and does not know
this, is someone to be avoided.

It can take weeks for google to update. Again, anyone should
know this. You can't just change something and expect instant
    results.

And, contrary to popular belief, you cannot force google to
    do anything.

Did you apply to google places? With an address, phone number, etc.?
If not, why would you be in google places?

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

Yup, even for a web designer!

Thanks Paulgl - why though has it added in London? Whilst Google can add words to help the end user - why would it apply a geographic region that actually is not representative? This is detrimental to a searcher so Google would only add it based on some logic or relevance. That is what I am trying to determine - i.e. why did they add London????

It just adds in the word London into the search results which is just bizarre IMO.
