Repurposing Overseas SEO Workforce
- SEO |
The link builders that were left jobless after the algo updates are everywhere. I get contacted privately 5 or 6 times a week by workers from India, Bangladesh and the Philippines that are looking for work. In this new content driven model they haven't found a resting place and I don't think they are going anywhere. I would love to hear everyone's ideas about a possible direction for them to take, new career opportunities. Putting aside any ill will, these are folks with families to support.
Most of them have value to offer; it's a tech savvy, educated work force with a strong work ethic and motivation to succeed economically. They have internet access and varying degrees of SEO knowledge. Their biggest obstacles are the English language barrier and perhaps stereotypes.
My ideas:
1) Many know how to scrape the web, I can find endless uses for that. What if they could find broken links on relevant sites for me? A big old list of those would be very valuable. Heck then they could send out form emails to the webmasters and get me some links.
2) Posting. We have endless discussions about which auto-posting software has the highest success rate. Can't beat a human for that as far as accuracy goes. Give them content, they post. What you lose in speed you make up for in success rate.
Just two of several ideas I have toyed with. Seems to me that there is a "two camps" mentality, would be nice to look at the big picture of the industry as a whole.
Any ideas?
