    How do you know it was the Penguin update that affected your site? In general, penguin targeted sites that were engaged in keyword stuffing, link schemes, cloaking and sneaky redirects. If you were involved in any of those activities, you can recover by undoing them and then submitting a reconsideration request to Google.
