Hello everyone, I've recently used adwords on several of my projects I've spent over a 1000$ for each of them, but returns from this traffic are so low, I can't even reach a zero sum. People simply don't buy the promoted goods. Does adwords simply dead for small business, and all the traffic gone to iAds, iPhones?

First SEO, now Adwords! Soon they'll be nothing left!

Reports of Adword's demise are greatly exaggerated:

It's all about the niche you are advertising in. If you're in the health niche and you're able to convince that your supplement will solve a certain problem for sure, you'll have great conversions. If your product is about pet training, people are more prone to just go somewhere where they can find information for free on the internet.

Of course, if you're witty enough, you will convert the pet business as well

Has it ever crossed your mind that maybe you're just bad at it?

If AdWords was dead, Google would be dead, and Matt Cutts would be working at the local Burger King in Mountainview, CA.

Three verdicts here: 1) Either you are in a niche that requires A LOT more ad spend to see an ROI - 2) You aren't targeting the right keywords - 3) A mixture of both.

Look for some long tail, less competitive keywords. Don't target broad, expensive keywords that everyone else is.. go for niche keywords. For example don't go for "insurance" - Instead go for "Buy insurance online".

      Hope that helps.

      JS.

AdWords can be more profitable than SEO when done properly.

Let me guess, your ads are sending visitors on your home page, right?
