Linkjuice sites or make them the niche ?

Hi,
I have two good PR 5 domains that are kind of related to my niche.
The site I have them helping is PR1 and doesn't do well without solid links from my pr sites. The domain name is more specific though and better.
My question is
Isnt it a better idea to create my niche site on the two PR 5 sites rather than pointing them to the one domain ?
The domain names may not be perfect but I assume once i fill them they will actually rank faster and better than the linked PR1 domain . Also I would not have an issue with unnatural backlinks
I think if my PR1 site was more established and had been around longer then it would be the right idea to point the PR5's to it.
Any thoughts appreciated
