I assume it would, but does listing your store on shopping comparison sites such as shopping.com help improve SEO?

Does your link show up on the backlink pages Google Cache (text version)? That's your answer If the link is working for you.

Some of those shopping sites use javascript, which will usually (not always) be hidden from Google.

Thanks, thats good to know. I haven't actually set up with any such networks yet but looking to do so and was wondering about any SEO benefits.

Check the Google Cache (text version) of another site that has links on the shopping site/page, then you'll know what's going on or If it's even worth your time. If you see their link on the shopping page cache (text version) your good to go. I have know idea what the value of the link would be, regardless, that's how you know If Google is looking at the backlink. You could also check the HTML source code (nofollow, etc...)
