Looking for New SEO Link Products/Tactics That Still Work

Hey all,

I'm about to launch a new site and I'm looking for ideas on products or tactics that still will help to boost rankings. I've been out of SEO for a number of years, and thought this might be a great place to ask. I used to come here quite a bit before Warrior Forum became a paid site, but haven't been back in a while.

Also, I know a lot of people offer products here that I don't come across otherwise. I'm definitely open to any of those, as well!

        Hey Mike - Don't worry...I'm not trying to be a megaspammer. The name is kind of ironic. I'm thinking more about the short-term with these new sites, so I'm not too worried about long-term repercussions. That's all.

        That could work with my new sites, appreciate the info GGpaul. They are actually going to have quite a bit of unique and useful content right from the beginning, so I could see sites just linking to them.

        In addition to standard outreach, I'm trying to also find the kinds of things that will help me get a really quick boost in the short-term. I know there may not be too many of those things left!

        agree...whether you are building your own high PR network or renting links from site owners, its still the best way to catapult in rank...

      Thanks Natalia! I've used PR submissions in the past, but not for quite a while. That's the kind of info I was hoping to find...whether things like that work any more. Appreciate it.

    It's actually a blessing in disguise that you retired from SEO for a few years.

    It got ugly for a while...

    What were you doing before?

    Ironically, SEO has gone back to the future...Delorean and all.

    If you're old school enough the same stuff works today (guest posting, email outreach, broken link building etc.).

    The only new development are some fancy tools like buzzstream to make some of this stuff easier to manage and execute.

      Thanks for the info Backlinko! To answer your question, I was doing a lot of directory submissions, guest posting, as well as using link networks like Build My Rank, which at the time, worked incredibly well.

        Well I'd say out of the 3 guest posting still works...but you don't want to rely on it too much.

        And there are a few (like 10) directories that still make a difference.

        Other than that you've got to learn how to create top-notch (not good) content and then get that in front of influencers.

        There are some other strategies that work well, but that should get you started.

    Its easy - read all the "working" stuff here in the forum. And do NOT do it.

    Because that is where everyone without idea is directed to. And do you think
    their websites are better as their seo? That there is REALLY no reason these sites
    and site owner are hunted by google like some rabbits?

    So, if all this microsite/make money/CTR Theme guys are using methode X.
    How long will google need to notice it?
    And thats they say: "great way to rank lets give them some pandas for more fun"?

    Good seo is everything you find not here promoted.

    Define "working".

    Are private networks working?
    Yes, they was . Until google targeted them and deindexed them.

    Was it a surprise? Only when you not understood how google works.

    Do they still work? Sure.

    So, why not using them?
    Because there is a somewhat high chance X that they got deindexed (google is doing it now every time) and your site marked with the not natural link mark. Which will more or less render your useless. Except you invest alot time & lost money to, perhaps, restore its ranking.

    Simple rule: As more people use a methode as higher the chance google will counter it.
    As more low quality seo site using it - even more higher.

    A public seo methode in this forum hyped to the common website owners/IMs of this forum?
    What you think? Alot higher perhaps? Or not?

    If you're promoting a product (not a service), this method works great for getting quality (high PR) backlinks and will build up the pagerank of brand new domains quickly, along with driving a ton of traffic and sales.
