Best Traffic Source For List Building...

Hey, I stumbled across (by accident) a really unique and amazing method for generating highly qualified traffic using Google Adwords in a semi-manipulative (but totally legal) manner.

I've been killing it recently with this tactic.

However, now I want to build a list and promote a product I'm creating around this traffic generation method.

The only problem is: I cannot send traffic to a squeeze page from Google PPC. So I need another traffic source. But I don't know where to go.

Can anybody recommend a proven traffic source/platform for building a qualified list for the IM space?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

You could try second-tier networks like 7search and BuySellAds.

I'd do adequate research & testing on both before investing in traffic though.

You probably can use the other classifieds such as Craigslist.org or backpage.com to get some targeted audience too.

What you're doing now is actually one of my favorite methods of building a list. Posting on high traffic, niche-related forums is often overlooked but a VERY good way to build a super-targeted list.

My recommendations would be Solo Ads, Free WSO's, Thunderlist, and Video Traffic from YouTube. As far as solo ads go, my recommendation would be Safe Swaps.

        Here's my 2 cents:

        1) Use the GoogleDisplayNetwork (not search network) to drive traffic to squeeze pages. They're more lenient on the GDN...make sure the GDN campaign has search turned off, and your squeezepages have a clear disclaimer at the bottom that 'results are not typical or guaranteed' ... Adwords staff forced me to add this disclaimer to my sports/fitness related squeezepages.

        2) Use the Bing ppc network with their content display network as well.

        3) Safe-swaps for solo ads, and remembers that you get what you pay for, so work with the higher rated sellers.

        4) Setup Facebook ads and drive them to conversion oriented Fanpages (cheap traffic). There's lots of tools that help you maximize email list-building via Fanpages. Post quality content on your status updates and use FB Notes to drive organic traffic.

        5) Free WSOs and classified ads on this forum!

        All the best to you!

After my first 2 years of losing over 10K in internet marketing SCAMS, I am now a 6+ year IM veteran with lots of experience building Niche Sites, Ecomm Stores & running PPC campaigns. I've made most of my money through Affiliate Marketing, Adsense & Infoproducts. I promise to provide lots of FREE VALUE from all my experience over the past decade!

If you're beginning with IM niche you better have a good allocation of money to spend if you're looking to build email list related to your niche pretty fast.. as everyone knows, in a free way it will take quite sometime...

My way of getting targeted traffic that can be converted to potential email subscribers is through solo ads... other than solo ads you can go for advertising on high authority blogs that has loyal readers.. make sure the blog is highly related to your niche..

Depends on what you think is a decent sized list. For someone just starting out, getting a few hundred subscribers is not really that time consuming if you give them enough of an incentive to subscribe. A decent post on a high traffic forum can get a bunch of signups.

Solo ads create unresponsive lists. Spammed to death, they unsubscribe or the open rate decreases very fast over time.
So if you build a list with new fresh leads (not coming from other solo ads or spammed sources), leverage them, create a relashionship and you will earn much more than solo ads.
You can always sell solo ads if you are not successful anyway

Some great suggestions already and I'd just give another recommendation for solo ads. Especially in the IM niche as most of the providers you'll find on the WF are in the MMO niche etc.

Get some recommendations though on quality providers that actually DO send your emails as SOLO and don't lump you in with 2-3 other guys. Another tip would be to either write the email yourself or have them let you see the email before they send it.

The best type of email for YOU is the one that 'pre-sells' them BEFORE they click. So tell them a bit about what the offer is going to be before they actually click. That way you've already screened out people that aren't interested in what you're offering and won't get clicks from every tom, dick and harry.

The best email for the 'less than ethical' ad provider is the one that has 3 links in it and says "Click here to win a great prize!"

Doesn't happen often but I'm still seeing those from time to time even now. It's shocking and makes me sick to my stomach.

Good luck and hope you do well with your product.

    Steve

Aweber allows you to put a popover sign-up form on your web page. You can add a time delay to make it popover some time after the visitor arrives. Technically it is not a squeeze page but a sales page with a popover.

Banner ads, social media ads and solo ads can build your list fast with targetted audience.
Forum posting and blog commenting is also very helpful.
