Are you making money from adsense?

As the title suggests - as part of my 90 day challenge i have elected to build 100 sites for adsense but i have read both good and bad things about adsense..the most famous bad thing was the ' Adsense is dead' campaign/ebook (can't remember who wrote it now but it went viral...)

My target is to make about $3 on average a day which i think is realistic but could have over estimated.

So the Question is: Are you making money from adsense and is $3 a day realistic?

#adsense #making #money

I have give up adsense for years after being banned. And that was the best what happened in my life. When I wouldn't get banned, I guess I wouldn't do another think than adsense

When you say banned - is this bicos of something you did or a third party?

Are you driving traffic purely from rankings or are you using other means like Altin?

Is making $3 a day from Adsense realistic? Definitely.

But a few things to keep in mind:

    1. Focus on niches that have keyword phrases with more expensive CPC values (cost per click). It doesn't have to be the MOST expensive niches like some diseases and insurances. There are hundreds (probably thousands) of possible niches to select from. find one that best suits your goals and personality.

    2. Keep your Adsense ad blocks to 1 or 2 only. Adding that third ad box may seem like a good idea at first, but it will also have the least expensive CPC values. Giveing readers fewer options will increase the odds of earning more income per click.

    3. Keep your content highly focused. The best way of improving the likelihood of having the most accurate Adsense showing for you is too ensure that the content is laser-focused to the keyword phrases you are targetting. Content based on a broader knowledge of information will get lower priced CPC valued ads shown.

      Thanks JoeMack

I am targeting keywords with average CPC of $1.70/medium competition/

All sites are going to be highly focused to one keyword with unique content.

I make in the multiple tens a day with AdSense. I have a friend and I have personally seen his account. He built his site in 2000 and has added to it for 13 years. He makes hundreds a day - every single day. Its amazing and inspired me to never quit.

AdSense is great but you MUST have other streams of income. My friend has a product and a service he sells. AdSense is only a third of his income.

The next thing you need to do is create a couple of products around the themes of the sites and sell them through ClickBank.

You can easily make $3 a day. Warning: pick niches that interest you - building sites just to make money gets boring and becomes yet another job very, very quickly.

You have the opportunity to live with and grow these as businesses for decades to come. Choose wisely.

It's realistic. If not so, you might know the top players in this field such as Spencer and Pat Flynn are currently make passive income from it.

One thing to keep in mind, Adsense is risky if you don't giving enough attention to their rules. Give it a go and see if it's realistic or not by yourself.

I'm making a couple bucks a day from it, too.

I used to make $100+/day from it, but I've pretty much given up on Adsense since Google's fickle algorithms can now kill your traffic overnight. I still have decent passive earnings that cover my hosting and domain costs and a bit left over for a couple household bills, but whatever I get now I just look at as a bonus, rather than something I can depend on.

Still, $3/day is a very achievable goal, particularly if you plan to create 100 sites. I imagine at least one of them will take off eventually.

I am not using AdSense at this time, but about 2 years back i was earning a few hundreds/day with them. Anyway, to make money with AdSense you should get at least 500-1000UV/day for a website, while targeting high paying keywords.

In order to rank a site these days you need to focus on building an authority site. These bring the most organic traffic, and it won't be overnight.

100 sites is unrealistic and impossible to maintain. Besides, you could build 10 skimpy sites and have none of them do well. Again, choose one niche and build one site around that niche with VALUABLE content.

This ensures that your site will have staying power over the long run. You can add a few more sites after carefully selecting topics of interest. The niche you choose should be one where people are always looking for quality info.

I only have one authority site with adsense and it has survived numerous Google updates. It gets thousands of views, but is not in a high paying niche. Still, it makes me money each month. It's also static, because I haven't touched it in a long time. But I picked a sub-niche from a larger niche and it still shows up in the SERPS.

Right now you have a mentality that the more sites you make means the more money you'll earn. This is NOT the case. I know that for a fact. Creating a gazillion mini sites isn't the way to go.

Authority sites are your best chance to make good money with this method.

Google adsense is one of most powerful revenue generation program.

    (a) Its earning directly depends on nature and bounce rate of traffic.
    (b) Organic traffic can bring BIG cash as compared to referring & direct traffic.
    (c) Ads placement in "right place" can be more fruitful.
    (d) avoid fraud clicks
    (e) Traffic & clicks from US, UK, AUS are most valuable in sense of revenue.
    (f) maintain CTR% between 3%-5%

Yes I make money from adsense. Yes 3$ a day is very realistic.

I would highly suggest not worrying about building 100 sites right off the bat, especially if this is your first time.

Spend that extra time into keyword research, or link building and you will be getting traffic/revenue to your site. I just built out a few sites over the last couple weeks that are bringing in 5-10 a day each site. Quality over quantity.

But there are tons of ways/opinions/techniques to do this. And if you do some searching there are tons of resources on how to do such.

Cheers, and I hope you reach your goals.

My authority site only gets about 1200-1500 unique visitors a day and I only make about $2.50-$5/day. I've never made more than $110/month.
It isn't a huge amount but I can't complain since it is just extra income.

By the way, what is the best ad size/placement? Most of my clicks come from a 300x250 ad in my sidebar. I have a few smaller ads in some of my content but I don't know if I should put then at the top, middle or bottom of my content. Any thoughts?

It's not hard to reach 3$/day, but definitely it's a crappy idea to create 100 probably crappy websites to make money from these. Better create one good website in steed of bunch crappy websites. I can bet you can't create 100 quality websites, unless you're planning to work your butt off and spend 12-16 hours daily just on these websites.

    I just want re-iterate - i'm building 100 quality sites not crappy sites..LOL

All will have unique content are are actually loosely related :-)

I am not going to achieve am authority site in 90 days..but i can build the basis for it and test the market..i'll keep the winners and get rid of the losers..

I don't see the point in focusing on one site only to discover 6 months later you have been wasting your time..

The first part of the process is research.. research research..

I think i go a little into why i'm doing 100 sites instead of focusing on one in my blog

    Feel free to comment :-)

100 sites in 90 days would obviously be junk.

You could target 100 niches with a single 100 page site for testing niches/traffic.

That's the way it's done (long term). Build a useful evergreen site with decent content, doesn't even have to be amazing content, just needs to be legit & serve a purpose for traffic.

Building 100 sites solely for the purpose of generating Adsense income is a sure bet to failure. This is not 2007, where you can churn and burn websites and expect to get an Adsense check at the end of it. This might work initially, but not for very long.

Can you realistically build 100 brandable and truly HELPFUL websites that will have no problem passing Google's manual reviews? And by helpful, I DON'T mean ordering $10 articles from textbroker, that are unique, pass copyscape, and are grammar error free - slapping them up on a simple blog and sticking your adsense code in there. That may have worked in 2007, but you'll not only burn yourself out, you'll burn your account.

Each site needs to serve a purpose, rather than just taking up space in Google's index. Can you really build 100 of these?

If you really want to make it in Adsense, focus on 1 site. Build yourself a brand. Solve a problem. Don't create content based on what you're seeing in the Google keyword tool. Everyone does that, and Google can spot it a mile away. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone, and use the keyword tool to get ideas, and create content that will help people around those keywords. Create content that people want to share and link to. Best of both worlds.

If you can build something genuinely worthwhile, you'll be surprised at how fast your site will grow and earn income for you. Don't think about this in the number of websites you can build. Think about the amount of TRAFFIC you can generate. And Focusing on 1 (or a few) high quality websites that generates 100k views a month, is a LOT easier than 100 websites that collectively generate 100k views a month.

It may seem overwhelming at first, but it's actually MUCH easier to do. Set some short term/long term goals, and take some time to plan out your attack on how you're going to reach those goals. I'm not talking about $5/day in Adsense goals. Don't sell yourself short.

well I like the idea of 100 sites but my advice if you're just starting out with this would be to work on just a few at a time at first. Learn what works, what doesn't, what you can automate, what you can't, that kind of thing. Oh and yes $3 is absolutely do-able. Best of luck

    All good feedback guys...

Again i just want to say ..it's a challenge to do 100 (so one site is out the question)..LOL

I have designed a very simple structure for each site and all i'm going to do is populate with content and build. All sites will add value in some way.

It is impossible to say which ones will do well..when i find the best one i'll build some out into authority sites and others i'll keep as miro sites to have diversity.

It is a challenge - don't forget - this is why i want to hear from people making money with adsense today NOT 1997 :-)
