I had my adsense account banned about 15 months ago.

I am currently building a new channel on Youtube and have already added 50 proper helpful videos in the mobilephone/android app area. I plan to monetize with adsense.

I will need a new adsense account. Should I apply for one with a business name? My banned adsense account was in my own name?

Any advice appreciated guys, thanks.

Can't apply in your with your old adsense name, so...

But being banned and then choosing to break the rules is
    a bad idea.

Google clearly states you CANNOT reapply if you are banned
due to policy violations. If you are banned due to invalid clicks,
you are ONLY to reapply via an appeal form.

Technically If OP applies with a business tax ID, they aren't the same things. Google is most likely looking at tax IDs & Social Security numbers to see If any matches are made.

If you setup as a legit business (LLC, etc...) then use another address (I'm not sure If they allow a P.O. Box) I don't see how they could tie the two accounts together. It's very common for a legit business to use a P.O. Box in the US for mail.

Your PC might also be a tip (machine name), to connect accounts?

Also, I would only recommend creating the business tax ID If your serious about trying to keep an account, not much point in building a business status If it's going to get banned.

Don't make the same TOS mistakes with the 2nd account.
