My site ranks very high for many of the keywords including both long-tail and short-tail keywords. There's lot of traffic coming to my site every day and it significantly increases every day. The bounce rate is very low and average visit duration is longer than 3 minutes. However, there 's a drastic decline in the conversion rate over the last 2 weeks. Even though the traffic, bounce rate, average visit duration remain almost same, I've been experiencing a significant drop in conversion rate. Does any of you have any idea what would be the reason why the conversion rate has been going down for 2 weeks ?

No idea about the 2 week dropoff, but sounds like an overall conversion problem to me

Could this happen if your competitors are ranking better than you and the potentional buyers visit THEIR sites?

Also, check if your product page has any problem, when visitors want to buy something from your site, it is not working properly or it is running slowly, which creates frustration in visitors.

Is your business seasonal? Do you have trends for certain months? It may take a few years to gauge if there are more productive months than others.

Also, focus on long tail key words. They are supposed to have the highest conversion rate.

Also, check to see if there has been a decrease in traffic from certain keywords. Not all traffic is created equal. If your visitors arriving on your website from high converting buyer keywords has decreased and there has been a commensurate increase in non-buying keywords, you might experience a decrease in conversions while maintaining your visitor volumes.
