Private Blog Network Question

I've recently started a private blog network and was wondering if anyone has had any trouble buying an expired PR6 or 7 chinese domain with a lot of backlinks. Do these foreign websites do well if you convert the content?

I have a couple of chinese domains rebuilt up for UK/USA market, doing more than fine. You have to do some smart backlink analyze though, like with every other domain.

Yep really good analyzing as sometimes those chinese sites have links that will vanish in no time. No more so than english but the language difference makes it harder to figure it out

For the most part I have found Chinese domains tend to lose their PR.

More often than not they usually have high PR due to some links from other Chinese sites (ie part of some e-commerce network) that get pulled down once the site is discontinued.

A simple check using something like Spyglass or Majestic SEO can show you this.

I stay away from any domain purchase I can't fully analyze to determine if the website represents a good long term purchase. Since I can't read Mandarin/Cantonese, I stay away from these purchases, because I can't tell if the backlinks will stick.

I have grabbed a chines domain, pr5, it passed two months and pr is still there, now I created site on this and targeting Amazon to rank a keyword... but now the ranking is on 16th page.. doing directory submission to improve it.... lets see..
