Question about backlinks

Hi Forum,

I have a question which i want to ask.

I live in The Netherlands and i want to use backlinks to my dutch site, from
other countries. as example, a backlink from a USA site. Does that still work out for me? or will it not be as effective? Or is it not recommended?

    wont matter...a strong backlink is a strong backlink...doesnt matter what TLD or language it is in...I rank Portuguese sites with English site backlinks all the time...

    I would think that a backlink is a backlink and it doesn't matter. But I still wonder if you had all backlinks that were from other dutch sites if it would be more powerful. I don't have much experience in intl SEO so I don't know for sure there.

    It won't make a difference. Focus on getting as many links as possible from high PR sites. It doesn't matter what country the site is from. Rankings will improve over time.

    Yes. You can get backlinks from the whole world.. Just be sure to try getting HIGH quality backlink!
