Should I buy a domain for backlinks?

I found a domain with very good verified backlinks related to my topic from highly trusted related sites (even some .gov directly related to my keyword/topic)

But I don't want to use that domain. But I want the link juice. What is the best way of collecting link juice from that domain and forward it into mine?

Should I "re-activate" the domain with content and simply link to my site?

Or should i 301 redirect the domain to my site?

    Buy it, build a few pages of relevant content in it and use it as a link to your main site.

    I do this all the time, works great if its got good pr and good inbound links

    Hey Mr Montgomery ,

    Another vote in favor of standing up a nice little site and making sure that your old inbound links go to the appropriate (remade) pages or there's some 301 in place. Then, don't spam, but put in some well placed links and enjoy the juice.

    As simple 301/reroute over to the other site has nowhere near as much value.

    301 redirect the domain to your site is suffice. 301 redirect ensure all the link juices are transferred to your website and your website will get the PR of the domain that you want to buy too.

    Your domain must be from different IP. Backlinks from root domain will help a lot to boost ranking in a very short period.

    Make the links look natural, it would be a problem only if Google identifies them as unnatural, your competitor reports about those links.

      This is a total waste of time.. ive seen loads of these FAKE blogs.. they can be spotted a MILE off.. just 301 or link up your site with keywords.. fk trying to make it look like a "real" site to try and trick google ... no matter what you do its obvious to anyone with half a brain that its being used for backlinking

    If you just need the link juice to one of your site , 301 should work, but to make it more safe and natural, build pages and link it back to your site including sub pages. Keep adding domains to your network and over a period you build your own network which is very powerful to rank your keywords.

    IP address is also counted, if you are buying high pr domain, hosting on the same IP address then you would get the value but it would be a little.... so try to host on different IP address to get maximum benefit..

      LOl again.. where is the evidence that backlinking on the same IP is at reduced link Juice .. are you serious ? ... of course different ip for safety.. but sites on the same ip pass less link juice ? really ? eveidence please
