Cloud Tags For Seo

Cloud tags have both +ve and -ve. I think you use them on your site.
positive includes easy user navigation, better site link structure, increased changes of search engine visibility by providing multiple tags for a single post etc.

negative is that you will be distributing your link juice to multiple pages. but this can be avoided by placing them carefully in website. Also exclude less important and repetitive tags.

I have tested them on two Wordpress sites. In one site I have added them in sitemap, so Google got them easily and at other I've not. Website with tags in sitemap have more impression then other. Both of my two sites are new and have low traffic currently.

i removed the tags under every post on my homepage to get low keywords density , and low internal links ( i have now 125 link internal link in my home page ) what do you think ?

Nope cloud is too confusing for the visitors to navigate will do more harm than good, as a visitor myself I never click on links on cloud.

Yeah for visitor , but for seo i think can help as the guys montioned

I think cloud tags are an awful idea. For a bigger site, you will end up with way too many links on the page which then dilutes the strength of all your other internal links from your home page.

I would get rid of them all.

Yeah , but the cloud tags has a limit to show the tags, like 50 tags randomly

50 tags, this looks like keyword stuffing or spam for me for a cloud with so many words. A cloud with so many words is like a spam for me.

Don't remove them all. Only remove repetitive ones.

If you have showing tag cloud on home page, then its ok if they are not present under the posts.

Yeaah im very agree with you ,before the tags was under every post on the home page and also the cloud tags widget so i removed the tags under posts and i keep the tags on the post page only

It's a good way to tell Search Engines WHICH keywords are important (try to place there no more than 10-15!). Visitors could also understand what your website offers!

For user experience yes. For seo no. Use tag cloud but make sure to make the links "no follow".

  Why I'm the world would you want 50 random links on a page? You are diluting all your other internal links.

All Cloud Tag code isn't the same, If those tags are being used in javascript, it most likely won't matter for SEO. Go look at the Google Cache (text version) & you'll know If Google is even looking at the Cloud Tag links. Google will obviously know the bazillion tag pages exist, but they might not know the cloud tag links exist (javascript code, etc...).

Personally I would remove the tags/links/pages because I can do the same thing with less clutter with Categories.
