SEO companies for content publishers

Hi all,
I am looking for some advice around SEO companies and expected budgets.
We've developed a technology news/reviews site which is currently targeting fitness technology (but we're open to covering everything tech and to follow the advice of our SEO partner here). The site is new, with only around 30 posts, but the posts are really high quality and unique. We've invested in good, native content writers and have a decent budget to push output up markedly. They're currently posting 1-2 HQ articles that are in some cases ~2,000 words long, per dat at the moment. The site has just been indexed and is now placing for around 25 keywords thus far, with the first trickles of organic traffic coming in.
The site is aimed to be a testing ground for some advertising technology for one of our sister organisations. Its estimated that we need 100k+ page impressions per month to enable this site to work for those needs.
I'd be interested in your input on what it would take to get to that 100k PI's a month in terms of SEO budget (minus any content creation costs). Ball park monthly cost estimates really appreciated.
I would also be interested in a broad estinmate on a realistic time line.

finally, looking for recommendations on how to find the right SEo company for this job. Results achieved ethically are my primary concern, but this is not a huge enterprise project by any means, so budgets do matter...
