    They are both equal in terms of SEO. It is all just code on a page at the end of the day.

    WP is the general weapon of choice for IM'ers. As it is much easier to learn and use.

    On their own, it won't make a huge difference with what you choose. However, I do believe it would be a wiser decision to go with WordPress. There are a lot of WordPress plugins that help with SEO, and they could help you rank better in the search engines.

    Either one will be fine. I personally prefer Wordpress and find WP to be much easier to use.

    From a pure SEO standpoint neither platform is superior.

    Generally people prefer Wordpress though due to ease of use and amount of plugins.

      It depends on the template. How ever Joomla is by default content oriented. That means that you have to be careful how your content is used so that it will not be treated as duplicated content. Be sure to learn where WP/Joomla posts your content and you will be fine.

      Joomla is a bit harder to learn. Wordpress very easy. So you will have more time learning/modifying seo with wordpress since you have better control.

    There is no concrete evidence that using Joomla or Wordpress will help your site in the SERP. they both CMS with just few different interface but same in HTML.
