Look at this screen shot of a sites analytics

How does a 3 month old website established in Feb 2013 generate all this traffic from so many sources, and the majority of it being referrals.

Is this a scam where the site owner is paying for his traffic to make his site look like it has value? And then he can flip it and burn the buyer?

    It definitely looks fishy, and I can't say that I'm up on how the scammers do these sorts of things but 59,000 referral visits from Goog, even at 10 cents per click would be $5900 bucks, with a BIN of $5000 he's obviously not making money that way.

    Or is it just totally faked?

      Every human being with common sense should feel something fishy just by looking the page itself. It's made using duplicate content = Copyscape search results for: http://www.autocarinsurancegroup.com/

      Furthermore, it's running on free theme, have no comments, etc. The flippa GA is weird enough too.

      I don't know how he managed to get this through.

    The referrals Traffic doesn't mean paid services.
    It's the work of huge building which is done and the traffic is generated from social bookmarking, Social networking , Forums , Google groups, etc and many more.
    You can see that traffic comes from digg.com, stumble upon.com, delicious.com etc all these are social bookmarking sites .. they don;t sell traffic .. these traffic are work of extensive link building which has been done and now req. a minimal work of maintenance .
    The buyer would be shared with the Strategy of maintaining it.
    Plus i have mentioned about the dedicated after sale services.
    About the adsense i have 10 sites i my adsense account and if i verify it will verify the entire sites which will show as huge earnings so i am not able to verify it but yes i have a video of my adsense account which i can't post due to google tos publicly but anyone interested in the site ad want to see it . i can pass them privately.
    I hope i have clear your doubts ad other doubt you can ask me in private.
