Instead of questions, are you also open for feedback of the video?

    Hey man,

to be honest I only watched first 5 mins...

Content seems good and informational but you seriously need to add some "action" to your voice. (believe me I know what I'm talking about)

No offense intended just a little feedback.

      Thanks!

And what you are pointing out is true, but I was doubting about that kind of feedback. He took the time and effort to create such video thats already amazing

But since you started already with feedback, my 2 cents on the video:

A transcript is good but don't read up what we see in the video, people will loose focus. You are reading the text, which makes it sound boring to listen and keep attention. Also the video is very long you for only one subject. I think when you take some time you can short it in and make a good video which is 10-15 minutes max.

I would recommend you to watch some videos from known IM people and watch their presentation skills. Also create a blogpost which supports your video and where people can find the transcript (marketing).

      So in short:
      - Use bullet points in your video instead of large texts.
      - Use energy in your voice or as someone else mentioned use some action so it is nice to listen too.
      - Use keywords as help for your text, don't read a paper out loud.
      - Create a blogpost with the transcript with optional supporting content.

Let me remind you, this is just some feedback to improve yourself. Not to make you look bad or what so ever. You have obviously the drive to create great content so keep it up!

I really can't express my appreciation for you enough. Thank you.... Your thought, for adding value to my work, is just truly amazing.

        "THANK YOU"

Please continue to add more value to this thread. I appreciate it, more than you'll ever know.

I am kicking myself, for having the amount of experience i have, without ever adding video into the action.

It's time I took a couple of weeks to learn. I assure you, with my experience in SEO and Internet Marketing, the videos will eventually be KICK ASS!

        Thanks again,

    Hi Greg!

Have some fun with it... really Look at it this way: you want people to watch right? Maybe you plan on using this as a marketing tool to launch a paid course? Nobody will buy it. I know, it's not what you want to hear and it's not what I want to say but hear me out... be a smart marketer. Listen to your audience and give them what they want. If not I can tell you what will happen... if you are selling your course and I am selling mine, both have the same informational value BUT mine has some entertainment value... then I win, I will outsell you every time (if all else is equal.) Even if you don't plan on selling it some saavy marketer will take that information, present it better and then sell it and you got played It's not personal, it's marketing Wishing you amazing success!

This is exactly what I'm wanting to hear. I wish there was more people like you in the marketing community. It amazes me at how many marheters snitch on each other on these forums, just trying to get one another banned, for whatever reason. Marketers, as a whole, should really start helping one another and sticking together, for oft.

This is the first video I've really ever taken the time to create, and as you can see, I put a lot of time into it. I have almost a decade of experience as an SEO and Internet Marketer, but completely suck at video, because I don't have a ton of experience in this area.

What I done was create the presentation, etc separate from the audio. I couldn't figure out how to do them both at the same time, with the software I'm using. I then hired someone to SYNC the audio, with the video.

I need some assistance in the "video creation area". Truth is, I'm researching like a mad man, I really can't afford to hire anyone. I like learning things, and doing things on my own. That's who I am....

I would appreciate and welcome any and all help, I can get, Please feel free to contribute and assist me, by providing more information.

Thanks again, for your awesome words.

Actually the voice is fine. A little bit faster and confidence of where you re going next will give you a little frank kern sound. I don't have the stereotypical English accent that everyone loves but I've done alright.

To me though the real issue is when you do a video you should have a reason to do a VIDEO.

Videos of text are always going to be duds. You do videos to show something that you can't with written text. So say teaching people how to build tiered networks by actually doing it with software you use or whatever. With a bit more practice and that and you will be okay but yeah I didn't watch through that the minute I fast forwarded and saw just text.

Slide shows aren't bad, especially if you alternate them with live action screen shots. Here's a tip: don't see your slides as cue cards. You have too much text on each slide. A slide can dynamically highlight a few main points at a time, you shouldn't be reading your script off the slides. Throw in some images to break it up.

You should check this out: http://www.slideshare.net/jessedee/y...-at-powerpoint

I got much better at presentations after watching that, good stuff

I think having videos on youtube you need a place to promote them so if you are putting them on a blog or website it will work a lot better (which you are probably doing). I used videos similar to yours but with slideshows and music etc... but I didnt have any traffic source for them for youtube... Even ranked on first page of youtube for the related keyword will bring barely any views... I think most people who browse youtube are not interested in SEO.

But the videos are a good addition to an existing blog.

By the way I use windows live movie maker its basic but gets the job done... just more of a pain when editing. And for sound i use cyberlink wave editor. I like to split up my video in parts because talking for 5-6 minutes at a time i sometimes go off track. Then i merge them before i publish it.

You need to cut your video into smaller parts, each bringing its own important message or guideline. Half an hour for a single video is just too long. People don't have time to watch long videos, but more important, they don't have that much patience and ability to concentrate on the topic. They get boring, and in that moment you lose your audience of prospective buyers.

Be short, be concise, give people a "call to action" soon enough, and you'll be fine.

You're so right. I'm currently taking classes for adobe illustrator and adobe after effects.

I am breaking my videos down into sections. As for the above video, I'm breaking it down into sections, such as tier one, then a video for tier 2, etc...

I publish tutorials all the time on my blog, and video is doing a lot for me. My competitors have hell on their hands for the coming months. lol

      thanks man,

Some improvements I would like to see is :-
    1. More diagrams
    2. A demo video of you doing it
    3. Change font to a more "professional" font

Other than that, content is good
