I would start with your basic link building techniques to get you started:

Directory Submissions
Social Bookmarking (Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon)
Blog Commenting on relevant blogs
Guest Blogging
Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, Google +, Pinterest)
Web 2.0 Creation + Post Content + Build Links for your Web 2.0 profiles

These are very good links. I also am hearing the new algo update coming may start knocking out a lot of the article directories, etc backlink value. We will see

Yo, Link Building can be done in many ways. Like they've said, Social Bookmarkings, Social Media Optimization, Directory submissions etc. might help your blog to gain weeks, but you have to do this moderately.
