Website Reedirect

Hello All,

I have a website in which I need to have ssl layer for some purpose. Since The site is hosted in a single server without any subdomains, so once i implement ssl I believe whole website would have https prefix. In such case I think the website would have some impact on ranking. IS it so?

Or do I need to redirect my http site to https

If your whole site is going to be served from https pages, then best to do a 301 redirect. If not, just redirect the relevant pages to the https version.

  Will 302 redirect will also do?
  
  This is a temporary setup and might be that I would removed the ssl in six months.
