SEO Training Courses & Certificaion

I have been looking into SEO training course both offline and online.

I have noticed that many of them offer "certification" but from my understanding this "certification" is not actually acknowledged by anyone.

The question I have is that IMHO SEOBOOK is one of the worlds leading authorities on SEO. They offer a training membership but do that offer some sort of accredited certification?

I asked them via support but doubt they will get back to me.

I also found out about these guys as another example distilled: online marketing, PPC & SEO agency in London, Seattle & NYC but again no mention of any accreditation or certification.

    ???

If you've already come to the (accurate) conclusion that certifications aren't recognized by anyone (which basically renders them useless), why are you still looking for a training program that offers certification?

There's no official accreditation because there's no rules when it comes to SEO, it's basically links + text. Anyone that claims an accredited SEO program is either BSing or talking about an internal proprietary system of doing things, which means nothing to the next business pushing their own similar agenda.

Both those links you posted are Moz related shenanigans, they'll sell you a bag of crap If your looking to buy. Another obvious sign is any so called SEO trainer with an affiliate program, that junk is simply spewing Clickbank buy me hype.

Your SEO accreditation is your own skills/experience, either you can rank a page or you can't.

I think some of them are genuinely adwords certified, but still, lol.
