Penguin 2.0 effected me very badly... please advise?

Until last day all our niche pages were ranking on the first 3 SERP pages. Right now when i just open the analytics i saw only 4 people visited our website... it's really disappointing... Google throw out my 2 very top ranked pages completely out of the race, it's now not even ranking under 1000. Am in a very big shock. Well, can i still expect anymore changes from google within next few hours that i'll retain my positions back for all those bounced pages? or should i re-build my SEO strategy? SEO really matters for my niche... please advise something

I agree, i lost a view 100 dollars in amazon revenu, (traffic and rankings are almost 0% now) but my local sites are gaining more and more traffic and rankings for longterm keywords that my pages are not optimized for.

But i am still not sure this is what it is, if these results are still here next week to 10 days from now then i will be a very happy camper...

Based on what I have seen so far today, blog comment links are no longer effective in competitive markets. Were most of your links from blog comments?

You had missed out contextual links from Web 2.0 sites. I mean, go for blogging using Web 2.0 - That may help you, and you can get links from your niche-related content...!!

Article directory/press releases links were lost their value during Penguin 1.0 (I guess), but still those are good for links variation...

Well there's your answer. Forget about article sites, directories, press releases (except for VERY high-quality and expensive ones), etc. Stick with high-quality private link networks, or if you can't find or afford one, then multi-tiered linking.

As for PR, it's total rubbish, we've learned over the years that domain age is FAR FAR more important than PR, what's why all of our sites are 5-15 years old.

I think your problem is allworldlinks.com 30,976 links from the same domain ? I guess you have the same anchor text on all those links. Are they all do follow ?

@adnan ali, you made blunder mistake by generating more than 30,000 backlinks from a particular domain. Try to remove those backlinks first. Next, what you have to do is that check your website in copyscape. Someone might have copied your website content. If anyone did this then, this is also one of the strong reason for your website ranking going down. Try to file a TakeDown against that company.

      Why so?

One PR6 blog has naturally linked my blog to his blogroll. Should I e-mail him and tell "I don't want my link to your blogroll, remove it asap!"

If the sitewide link is from a relevant source and is helpful to the user than you can keep it in my opinion.

You might want to check if their site received a penalty as that could harm your site.

As long as it doesn't hurt your rankings then keep it, but most people deal with blogroll links from pr2, pr3, pr4 sites and you can easily miss one of those.

I don't think anyone would know how they roll out these updates but one thing i do know is that things will settle down...So don't worry the update has just completed or is close to being completed...Who knows you might end up coming out better than ever...Just sit back and relax at the end of the Day neither you nor i will win..It will always be Google...

LOL true.... Google always win. But am only concerned about this one link from allworldlinks.com because it's generating a lot of sidewide links to my domain and it looks very odd.... and i don't want this single link to ruin everything... Do you suggest me removing this one link by disallowing it from webmaster tools or as you said to sit back and relax?

First thing you need to do is stop.

Google has a tendency to shake up the SERPs, then put a few ranked pages back like nothing ever happened.

Or you can panic & make drastic site/link changes.

Agree with you 100% mate...If the site is harmed its better to be where it is rather than putting it down even more to give google a chance to bring you back...As the saying does "Dont try to fix things it they ain't broken"

Actually, you and I both know that you are already (¤/"&!&" up.:p
Bookmarks, article submission, directory submission, blog commenting - You're doing it wrong...

Learn some basics of SEO and start all over again. And this time don't do any mistakes. I'm not trying to be arrogant, but I have done those mistakes as well, back in 2011 ofc.

First of all..if someone tries to help based on their experience, do not make joke about it...

Well, If you use Web 2.0, did u apply anchor text variations? Did you created your niche related blogs? Did you contribute more content to those blogs? Were those blog target human readers or for just JUNK links? Did you apply syndication? How about anchor text variations? lol.. Get your answer yourself
