Good SEO Guarantees You've Seen?

A bad example is the vague "1st page rankings". What guarantee do you offer or what have you seen offered by SEO companies?

Thinking of doing a 30-day money-back if you're not happy for the first month, but seems like a bad idea considering 30 days is a short time for SEO to get results.

I've also seen a company say that if you don't get your promised results in 90 days, they'll keep doing SEO free until they do.

    My wife own an SEO company in Canada and over the years we ended up doing this;

    - first three month free
    - rank their site in the first couple of week for primary keyword
    - once they give billing information for a subscription we work on the site

    What we like about this is they can't get hurt. I know if I can deliver long before the 3 months is up and so do they. They don't pay a cent until they are happy. THEN we keep our rates low: low comp city wide 199 a month - med comp city wide 299 a month - high comp city wide 399 a month - province/state wide 799 a month - nation wide 1599 a month

    The bigger the city, the higher the cost for the city rates.

    Since we started this approach we have never lost a customer (well, one because he died in a car accident)
