Tech Pop Quiz - Diminishing Link Juice?

My team and I were chatting about this today. Wondering what the big-boy techs on here think about this hypothetical.

Please see the diagram here:

View image: LINK DIAGRAM

Note: All websites in the diagram are on highly unique IPs, nameservers and hosts etc.

1. Do any of the websites in the diagram, suffer from reduced link juice, or reduced onward PR, due to the link structure? (bearing in mind Google has sophisticated network mapping/link neighborhood algorithms)

ie. Do websites 5 and 6 pass on less juice to the Money Site, due to the fact that that Websites 1,2,3 and 4 also link to the Money Site? Or Vice Versa: Do websites 1,2,3 and 4 pass on less juice to Money Site, as those have links from website 5 and 6 (which also links to Money Site).

2. If so, how? Please explain your reasoning.

Love to hear your thoughts!

I don't see a problem with it, as long as you can get sites 1-6 to have independant value.

Obviously, the more outbound links the less PR juice will be passed on. So 5 and 6 will pass less on since they are linking to the other websites.

Anyway, why in the world would you go to the trouble with "highly unique IPs, nameservers and hosts etc." if you're interlinking your sites

Why take the risk in leaving that footprint?

^This. If you're going to have a network, however small, why give yourself the unnecessarily risk of interlinking when that PR could pass directly to the money site? If I'm missing something here please correct me...

Less than 100% of PR is passed via a links - so any intermediate sites between 5 and 6 and the Money Site will result in less PR being received by the Money Site.

In examples of the original PR algorithm the 'dampening factor' was given as 0.85 meaning that 85% of PR is passed. So if a document contains a PR value of 1000 points, it only passes 850 points total to the documents it links to.

In the original paper this was meant to represent the probability of a random surfer stopping using the web on any given page. Matt Cutts has since refereed to this dampening factor on his blog as being necessary to prevent feedback loops from causing PR to rise to infinity.

That diagram image looks obvious considering the money site has zero out bound links.
