Hi guys,

I wanted to host multiple domains on different IP's, and had some questions regarding this:

- what are some of the cheapest + most reliable hosts nowadays
- I've read some stuff about different c classes. I don't entirely understand what they are, but are these important?
- I've heard that seohosting is quite risky. Is this true?

    I would advise that you find a good provider & use quality content on your sites and not worry about what IP's they're on.

    IP addressing is not classed anymore - it's been deprecated for over 10 years.

    Chances are, this will do more harm than good. 99.9% of those looking for & using "seo hosting" are attempting to game the search engines. Does it work? Sure, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.

    Unless you're linking a bunch of junk/fake sites together to give the perception they're something they aren't, you don't need to worry about IP addresses. Although, only internet marketing forums are the only places you'll find people still swearing by this c-block/separate IP address junk. Remember, the internet is pretty much based on name-based hosting anyhow.

    Again, I'd advise focusing on your content and providing a quality site over anything else. The search engines aren't stupid and people use common things across many sites even if they're all using different IP's that can be traced.

      I am with seohosting.com which was owned and operated by Hostgator for six years until a month ago. I used them because you can have different IP Addresses between cpanels but there have been a few major problems since the change in ownership and I'm pretty sure I'm going back to Hostgator. As far as the "seo hosting" angle of it having different IP Addresses between cpanels, I don't know if it made a difference or not, and since they inadvertently shut down all my sites this morning for a few hours, well, I'm pretty sure I need to go back to Hostgator. Hostgator is awesome and the ONLY host I would recommend by far. Seriously! I have no financial interest in them but they offer awesome 24/7/365 phone, chat and email tech support and have been happy to bail me out of a number of situations in the past where I accidentally brought a site down due to some weird Wordpress thing. Most other hosts would tell you to pound sand with third party issues and meanwhile you're left with a site that has crashed and you don't know how to fix it.
