Penguin 2 Killed My Site?

Just a week before the Penguin update I started a website.
The criteria for the site were as follows...

Global search on Google Kw tool =3600
Allintitle: kw = 3950

This allintitle figure stayed the same -
Then on the 27th of May it changed to 350

How is this possible?

Can someone please guide me?

Regards

There is nothing to do with allintitle and penguin update.

You have to make sure that the keyword that you had selected has good searches, like 1000+ and start optimising your websites for those keywords.

I am sure, you are confused... or newbie to SEO... keep learning, check out recommended posts on this section of the forum, you will get more into it, or if you have some money to spend, hire some SEO guys, I am sure there are skilled SEO experts can be found in Mumbai....

This doesn't sound like you've been slapped, sounds like you've just been a bit sloppy setting up your site.
Check around the forum for some help, but don't get too worried for now.

What was the subject matter of the website? The reason why I ask is because Penguin 2.0 only affected around 2.3% of search queries. I have a good idea of the niches (and hence search queries) that were targeted with the update.

There is a very good chance that the changes are related to a part of Google's algorithm which existed prior to Penguin 2.0. Just keep consistent and be patient (ie. keep things looking natural). I know it isn't the most exciting thing to read, but unfortunately, slow and steady wins the race.

Your doing it wrong (Global search), you'll never rank for every single Google country specific SERPs. Look at local numbers.

Doing an allintitle: for the entire SERPs isn't going to prove anything, the only thing you need to look at is the top of the first search page. Doing an intitle:"keyword" site:domain.com or "keyword" site:domain.com search on the real competition (positions 1, 2, & 3) is fine, it will give you an idea If the competition is boosting the ranked page with additional internal pages.
