Hello Warriors. Today I have decided to purchase a new hosting plan along with a new domain. Instead of using wordpress I have decided to code my website from scratch. I want to get the the top of google for my keyword, and I was hoping you could get me there. I will display all that I have done so far please tell me if I am missing anything, and what my future steps should be.

Here is what I have done:

Keyword Rich Title

Meta Tags

meta decription
facebook tags
twitter tags

I have also set up google webmasters tools, and submitted my url to google.
I have submitted my sitemap, and made a robots.txt file.

What should be my next steps?

OK - scrap all of the above, install Wordpress.

Install the XML SITEMAP plugin, SEO smart links plugin, DB backup plugin, Akismet, Fluff My Ass Before You **** Me plugin.....etc.

Then buy a cheap computer headset with boom mic, buy DragonNaturallySpeaking. Talk into the ****in' mic for 30 minutes and create 5000 unique words of content.

Post it all on one post, or split it up - whatever makes you tingle.

    Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat.

Make sure the titles are long enough to have some keyword combos in them and start chasing the long tails.

    1. Do a keyword research using Google keyword tool (Or any others in the market) and find some long tail keywords that has decent amount of searches, target those keywords first

    2. Write or outsource content - 500+ words may help, Make sure it is unique. If you wish you can add images, videos as well inside your content

    3. Yes, take care of the things that you have on your checklist above, But do not forget that over optimising your keyword in title may look like spammy. - Try to brand yourself and have your brand all titles on your webpages

    4. Launch official FB, Twitter, Googleplus, Pinterest and so on and add them to your site and verify (Pinterest, Google+ requires site verification)

    5. Don't forget SITE STRUCTURE & Inter-linking. Draw a graph/diagram before start for this, and decide on how your site web pages are going to be. (Example : en.wikipedia.org)

Uh.....the 500 word number ain't gonna cut it anymore. Wouldn't go less than 700 these days. Look at the average size of an Ezine Article go at least 20% longer.

Google ranks our 700-800 word posts the highest, but Google also never ever took one of our blogs seriously until we posted a few monster posts 4000-5000 words or more. The monster posts don't actually get all the traffic - the smaller ones get all the traffic.

But it's like the big fatties are a "right to passage".

Seen it dozens of times with Google.
