BookmarkingDemon..any advice?

Bookmarking Demon is primarily good for getting new sites or new content on existing sites indexed quickly. It can also be good for helping you rank #1 for non-competitive long tail keywords like "large pink zebra pattern wallets".

It won't help you so much with competitive terms or to beat tough competition in a niche. For that, you have to kick it up a notch beyond what Bookmarking Demon supplies.

For its ability to get you indexed and rank for long tails it's well worth the investment, especially if you're running a lot of niche sites. If you have a single site or just a few sites, it would be of limited value so you might want to seek out less expensive alternatives.

Honestly, I don't think it's worth the money. I'd rather spend that money on hiring somebody else to do it by hand.

It seems a bit over-priced if you have few sites but it can be handy if you have plenty of sites. I guess you can outsource this bookmarking stuff at much cheaper rate on getafreelancer.com, guru.com or rentacoder.com etc.

This what you need to see to get a good gauge of the hill you're trying to climb.

Next type in you Main keyword in google, yahoo and MSN then check the link for the top 5 spots ...is the number of links reasonable for you to obtain?

If not chose a longer tail keyword and go through the same analysis.


Now that you got a keyword. Look at your competition. Where are their links coming from? articles, social bookmarks,web2.0..... Now you go to the SAME places and get links at those places with your anchor text.

If you can't get the same links then my recommendation is article marketing and if your site is commerce some coupon or discount sites for additional links.

BM is an adequate product for what it does but it won't help you with really competitive SEO competition just long tail stuff. Sorry, but I'd spend the money on links if the money is burning a hole in your pocket.

I have used Bookmarking Demon and it's great. Whilst the lack of a decaptcha is annoying at times it's very proficient for what it does.

I have read some reviews of it, some say its okay and some said its overpriced. Its up to you if you want to give it a shot. Good luck though.

Bookmarking Demon is one of the first tools I bought as a newbie Internet Marketer last year. I have never regretted that decision. BMD4 is so much better than BMD3, it is like getting a totally new program. Since the websites with the most anchored links are the winners, BMD can be an integral part of any internet marketing link building strategy. With the ability to use proxies and add RSS feeds to add content in addition to your own site, plus the ping feature, and great support, I just cannot recommend Bookmarking Demon highly enough. Once you buy BMD, upgrades and new versions are free for life. This is not an annual subscription.
