Strange - Survived last Google update, but traffic dropped

So this is some crazy sh!t going on here.

I've been following my SERPS on all the google's and on Serpfox and Rancheckerace. The SERPS for my money site have improved quite a bit over the last few days.
I'm now ranking #2 and #1 for some of my keywords. My site has loads of unique, high quality articles, all 1500+ words.

Now, with SERPs being pretty good, my traffic has dropped like a rock from yesterday to today. Since Penguin 2.0 I've been getting around 80 visitors a day. Now it's looking like I'm going to close at 40 today, even though I've had some pretty solid improvement. This is really crazy. I mean, I'm getting much less traffic for the keywords that are on page 1 then I did for them when they were page 2-5. These are all keywords with 1000+ searches.

I'm really scratching my head with this one. Any thoughts?

    I'm lost too.

Average daily traffic since Penguin 2.0 was 500-700 per day... today it is down to 108!

Only difference I can see is that my Google+ authorships are not showing on page 1 like they were yesterday.

Same here from 600 unique's to 120 yesterday and probably even less today.

Keep in mind that rank checking tools are not always live, many have a delay of 24 hours and some even up till a week.

Even when you search manually you can still show up ranking for certain data centers while you already dropped at other data centers.

I think his situation might be different from yours, Dennis. Because his rankings actually shot up but the traffic got slapped (unlike the rankings slipped away hence the decrease in traffic).

Yep, I can see where you came from Woja.

People have been complaining about it here since Penguin 2.0. And it seems like Google just f*cked up the algo once again.
