Where to start with PPC?

Hi all!

In short, this is my story: around 1,5 years ago, in one of my shiny object syndrome attacks, I tried PPC. And the thing is, it kind of worked. I built a campaign (direct linking in Bing) that to this day, makes me an average of 600 to 800 USD /mo in profits.

A great thing, right? Well, not so sure. As it was a pure fluke (no system involved), I have been trying to replicate that, using pure chance.

Now, I have realised I am going nowhere with this. Firstly, because there's no way to replicate success, and secondly, because by direct-linking I am building somebody's business, not mine.

So, with that in mind, I'd like to ask some successful PPCers, where would you start, if you were me? I mean, which offers to try, what kind of LPs to build...

Any advice will be more than welcome, as I'm a bit overwhelmed/lost here

Thanks so much in advance!

You may do well by engaging with a PPC expert.

PPC & landing pages go hand in hand. Let me know if you need any help.

If I can jump on this topic too...

I have experience working in an agency running PPC campaigns for clients but have recently tried my hands at affiliate PPC. The switch has been harder than I'd imagine. I'm not so sure I understand the affiliate PPC industry. I'm having a hard time getting substantial traffic to my PPC campaign although the Bing keyword tool indicated that my keywords would be getting a lot of volume. I'm getting 10 clicks a day for a certain keyword instead of the 60+ a day that Bing estimated. My visitors are clicking my affiliate URL but so far I haven't seen a sale yet. The fact that my visitors are clicking the affiliate URL should tell me I'm doing something right but it's just the lack of sales that concerns me.

Maybe I'm used to seeing more frequent conversions in my clients' accounts so my expectations are higher than they should be?

Surely you can scale what you are doing? If your method works, try and scale up, rather than duplicate it.
