I accidently deactivated it, while I was optimizing some titles and descriptions and forgot to turn it back on, left it for a few days and my rankings went away, I feel like kicking my self!

I turned it back on with my new titles and Im getting back up there so I can't complain. lesson learned!

Wow I didn't think your ranking would drop simply from all in one.

    Great share

exactly! it go's to show how important it is getting your keywords in there, dropped atleast 10 positions.

I seen that if I increased my ctr that I could potentially double traffic but forgot I deactivated it for some reason.

i guess its also important to document everything your doing.

Yeah, documenting helps as long as you don't change like 10 things at once. That's my biggest problem. I change so much that I can't figure out what helped or hurt.

I once killed my rankings by deindexing my homepage on accident with the seo yoast plugin

Google count every little changes made to site. Becuase On-Page SEO will influence our ranking so much.

On the flip side, I've never used all in one seo & have been ranking pages for years.

Mr. 10k+: Yes because you're expert in this field and obviously in meta insights.

It's totally redundant, the only reason why I use the SEO Yoast plugin is because Wordpress has the nasty habits of creating odd pages like domain.com/?= , as well as seperate author pages, date pages and more of that crap that results in duplicate content.

Yoast allows me to easily noindex that crap and remove the variable /?=radius nonsense.

Gosh do I hate Wordpress, although at the same time I also love the easyness of it but why it comes up with so much garbage that no one needs or wishes for is still a big mystery for me. I know you can edit it out, just don't know how, but it also shouldn't be needed as I really see zero benefit in all of it.

Well, instead of using All-in-SEO, I use "SEO ultimate" which is for the same purpose and it works good for my Wordpress sites.

I like all in one cause you can easily edit your title and description any time you want, don't do like I did and deactivate the dam thing! If I don't use all in one google picks a snippet of my content to show in the description.

And why is that so bad! Google just might choose the best snippet of your content to show in the description and title. Just saying.
