multiple affiliate links in a review, bad?

I was convinced using ~ 6 affiliate links in a ~600 word review was no problem at all.
at the start, on the product images, on a button etc.

but i'm procrastinating at the very moment, they are all no follow links.

Is this all safe, no harm/penalties at all?

best regards

    I don't know.

I have about 4 review links in each 400-500 word post right now and I am going to delete 3 of them just to see if my site gets back on track.

Will let you know once it's done to see if it makes any difference.

A client of mine also started to remove affiliate links out of half of his posts to see if it would make a difference to his rankings. He kind of used an excessive amount though.

I don't see why that many affiliate links is even necessary, especially for not receiving much seo benefit, where on the flip side more could do more harm than good. When in doubt, go without

If you have those affiliate links a bit below the fold, that would be great & adding nofollow is safe practice too. - Here is a list of 200 factors that Google considered on ranking (I guess these may be true, but not sure, just read it...)
