I have a membership site I want to promote. I know that adwords will not allow you to advertise a squeeze page. However.... will they allow you to advertise a membership site? My site requires sign up to access the content. Also it is not a forum. Its a wordpress site and you need to enter a user name and password to access. Will they allow this or not?

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks X

My guess is not unless it is part of a larger site with content, navigation menu and more.

+1. Have seen a lot of Advertisers running campaigns for such sites.

It really depends on what else your site offers...

If I were in your situation I'd add about 5-8 articles of killer content that way Google will see your website adding more value to the end user.

There has to be something more than just them signing up to get access to content. Now you may be thinking that more content on the website will distract them from signing up.

But in reality if your content is geared towards value and helping solve a problem or answer a question that will increase their chances of them paying you for more.

Had a client awhile back that wanted to run an AdWords campaign for a yolasite website (yolasite hosted, had his own domain) and the website made you fill in your email address and sign up for something before you could see the content and running this Ad was NOT an issue. This was about a year ago not sure if things have changed since.

add an introduction page, you can put articles to your homepage. then you can place the login as one of the menu to access the membership page.
