Just want to know that having signature links in not related niche forum will cause penalization in keyword rankings and decrease our traffic.

Having your keyword as the clickable text in Forum Signatures could de-rank your website, esp if they are in not related niches. Don't think I am saying ALL anchor keywords in everyones forum signature is hurting their site, but the rule of thumb is not too many excessive exact match anchor text backlinks. What happens every time you make a post? You get more of those backlinks. If you notice some of the people's signatures in here, a lot of them are written to capture the attention of the forum viewers, not search engines. Forums are good for direct traffic, but the days of them counting as awesome backlinks are almost over.

My guess is that Google won't ever actually penalize blog comments or forum signatures from reputable places (as in it will hurt your ranking having them), since they're a legitimate source of direct traffic. However, I could easily see them not give them as much value (they've probably done this already).

I definitely wouldn't just rely on blog commenting and forums for backlinks because if they ever do stop counting, you've basically lost all of your backlinks.

To answer your question, I definitely don't think some backlinks from unrelated niches will hurt, but if you have lots of them, it may look like you're just running xrumer or something and blasting forums.

I didn't get conclusion from any of the post and want more clarity on that so that I can remove my signature, if it look like spamming activity from the views. I have now decided to remove the signature link and concentrate on profile build up.

I think it will not penalize your site., just always make an honest comment about the blog post and maybe the owner wouldn't mind it you add a link to your comment.
