Penalty for syndicating other news feeds to your own site?

I was wondering if I will be penalized if I use news feed from another site.I understand that duplicated content is bad and no no, but I want to ask if this is ok since I heard it is ok for syndicating for article marketing. Thanks for the answer.

    I assume that if content is syndicated you are allowed to use it on your site unless it is restricted by terms of use. By the way a can recommend you a free tool which can convert RSS to a code snippet so you could easily add it to your page: rssfeedconverter.com
