Quality marketing and promotion

I know I'm going to endless advertising/spamming for people's own service with this question heh - but does anyone know of a worthwhile and good quality SEO/promotion/marketing service?

I ran across such service at checkpagerank.net - they are the first result for pagerank-related searches, so they must know at least a thing or two - but their price seems a bit too good to be true.

Anyone have any experience with this service, or have used a service like this that really paid off?

I've read Paul's recommend SEO threads and it was hugely useful - unfortunately time is not something I have much of these days, so I at least wanted to weigh out my options.

    Now, to answer your question, here's my take on it.

    Build an asset!

    Build some tools, resources, anything that can solve people's problems (in your niche, of course). I know a lot of people's problems has been solved nowadays, but what you can do is, build a better resource in terms of design, relevancy, content, etc.

    I know this is some 'white-hat' stuff that people tend to stay away from, but once you've got decent genuine links and tractions from this, you can THEN build some more 'artificial' backlinks. You know the drill, the private blog network, the guest posting, etc.

    Of course, it is really very hard to find a good SEO service provider.

    One thing you can do is you can search on freelance sites and go with them who have good positive rating.
