Site Just Dropped 20+ Pages WTF?!!

Sooooo.......

My site was sitting solid on page 3 then jumped to page 5 now moved who knows where. I have 0 backlinks right now according to Ahref's, even though I built 2 web 2.0 sites with blogger and wordpress (multiple pages, pics even video on the 2.0's) but I haven't touched it other then adding a few blog posts here in there.

It's on the panasonic lumix zs20 which is also the name of the site
panasoniclumixzs20.com and I have 1000+ word review.

I did hire SEOlutions for their simple service backlinking. But that was just ordered like a week ago so I doubt that would have anything to do with it.

Anyone know why it would just vanish all of a sudden?

I'm seeing you middle of page 5 in .co.uk
You're being beaten by your own wordpress 2.0 blog.

At the end of the day the content is OK (note OK.) but you have no backlinks. A quick look through the SERPs shows possibly hundreds of sites all trying to go after the same thing. Many of which above you already have authority.

I'm not sure why you feel your site should be any higher? You may have had a QDF factor pushing you up to page 3 and now you're where the big G thinks you deserve to be.

Your absolutely right, I don't think I should be any higher than where I am considering the sites on page 1. I was actually surprised when I showed up on page 3, or even page 5.

I just wasn't sure why it dropped all of a sudden, I can't find it anywhere in the US. I've searched Jaaxy to check and it's not in the first 20 pages, I checked IE, Firefox and used the Igconito option in Chrome.

That's why I hired SEOlutions to do a tiered backlinking structure since there were some big authority sites on page one. Just not sure why I can't find it here in the US.

Do you know why I'd be beaten by my wordpress blog? I have it linking to my money site, also why Ahrefs wouldn't show at least the backlinks coming from those blogs?

I wouldn't worry about it. Page 3 is just as irrelevant as page 5 or page 10.

Good point! No traffic = No money = nothing to worry about.

I actually showed up on page 1 for a kw that had 1000 searches per month. Made few bucks but then Google moved me to the end of its hell.

The point is, you showed up on page 3 right away because your site was EMD, but since you didn't create any backlinks or just did a bare minimum it shoved you to page 10.

Make consistent backlinks and perhaps you will jump back.

    Good luck

It's like a little tease Google does

It's actually showing back on page 5 now, and the SEO group I hired are drip feeding the links over the next 10 days, also I've got a social campaign set up for it around the same time.

So hopefully it'll move somewhere I can at least get some traffic and sales.

Yeah it's called Google Dance. Try to keep your backlinking steady from day to day. Don't build lots of backlinks one day and then nothing for a week, do a little every day and you should be just fine

It seems like a Google dance to me and you will notice those in the initial days. And there is nothing to worry actually.
Now you know page 5 is the correct position for your page and you have to start working in order to move up. If you do it properly it won't be difficult either. So best luck!

Why are you posting content from your main website to Blog |

this way your content would be duplicate, I found some as well.

    This may be one reason.

Other thing, all the pages are looking of same formatting, just you have put the text, no formation, no citation, no images, no graphic, no video, no table, no keyword highliting..

This way your content is not looking natural...

Not sure I understand your first statement about why I'm posting content from my website to my blog?

Everything was written manually, there's no spinning, no duplicate content (unless you're referring to features or specs on the camera) there's only so many options on a electronic device to list so sometimes it comes up more than once.

There's videos and pics all over the site as well, except for 2 blog post's. The site is mainly just a test site as of right now which is why it's just plain and blah. As you'll notice there is not one single affiliate link in there.

All is good though, it's actually moved close to the top of page 4 now. Not even sure why I was curious about it moving considering it wasn't getting traffic anyways :p

If it hovers between page 3 and page 5 then there is a penalty applied.

Try searching for your domain name along with one of your page titles - ideally it should be rank 1 in search results. If it is not.. then whatever rank you get is likely to be the penalty..

You need some high quality links to push you back up, also I would add more content to your site, 10 pages is quite thin in google's eyes.

It looks like Google dance to me. Your site is still being assessed by Google. It is finding the right position in Google search. You should see your site improved than page 2 if you have created few backlinks.

Have you ever considered using ParaSites to drive traffic to your main site rather than just focusing on ranking your main site?

What I have been finding out after Penguin 2.0, is that "authority sites" are now ranking even more quickly than they did before. Therefore, if you use these authority sites as "ParaSites", they can drive traffic to your "Money Site" for your targeted keywords in a fairly sort period of time.

I actually started to study this pre-Penguin 2.0, and have continued to do so post-Penguin 2.0.

I have gotten the best results with the following ParaSites:

    1. YouTube
    2. Amazon (ebooks)
    3. Askville.Amazon.com (Similar to Yahoo Answers)
    4. Facebook Pages
    5. Squidoo (Work well but have cracked down and have started banning accounts)
    6. Meetup.com ($12/month) The group page ranks very easily
    7. LinkedIn (The Company Profile Page)
    8. Twitter Profile
    9. Tumblr (May be able to pull in RSS feeds)
    10. Myspace Account
    11. Blogspot
    12. BBB.org (This is an authority for Google+ Local Citations)
    13. Dailymotion.com (Video site that is less strict than YouTube)
    14. Metacafe.com (Video site that is less strict than YouTube)
    15. Pinterest Profile (Rank Really Well)
    16. Yahoo Answers (You can ask the question yourself, and then write the answer yourself)
    17. Itunes Stores
    18. Google+ Accounts
    19. EvenBrite.com (Similar to Meetup.com)
    20. Craigslist.org (Can rank well for local listings. Downside is that they can be flagged and they expire. Good for short-term rankings)
    21. Ireport.cnn.com (Can create an account as a reporter. Really easy to rank these pages)
    22. Press Releases (These are possibly the best ParaSites, besides YouTube.)
    23. Blog.co.uk (High authority site for the UK market)

It does require some work to set this up, but the return is worth it. Also, the backlinks that these authority sites provide to your Money Site are extremely powerful, which will help your website in the SERPs.

*Just remember that in order to get the best results, you need to build links to your ParaSites.

Our company actually might create a WSO to offer this service, so stay tuned.
