Ha, I managed to grab a screenshot of the blog before it redirected, absolutely none of it makes sense, it's unbelievable isn't it - that was only made yesterday and it's on page 1 for a super competitive keyword

It is a subdomain of blog.co.uk, Blog.co.uk has good authority. It is a blog platform with good PR. That is the reason, this site is ranked along with it has good content

That doesn't really make any sense, the content on the actual web page is rubbish, it redirects to another site.

payday loans are crap searches...how many times in this forum must
people keep repeating the same things? It's like you people have
so much time on your hands....time on your hands in inversely proportional
to brain matter....

Stupid people doing stupid searches get stupid results...and
google tells you that...over and over and over and over...

There's a problem with Google's algorithm that needs to be fixed. The sites rank so well, in this scenario, because Google has not had time to analyze the backlinks, on-page content, javascript redirect and so forth.

In Google's eyes, Mr Cutts PayDay Loans has just received 200,000 backlinks - meaning that the site must clearly be popular and deserves to be shown for popularity reasons.

He has not cracked Google's code. Anybody can do what he has just done, providing they have $50 (for Fiverr), or Scrapebox / XRumer.

Let's say he's making $32 or above for an email submit and he gets 20 of them today? Even if he's gone tomorrow that does not change the fact he earned over $500 today. I'm not saying this approach is right for everyone, but for someone who can do it, why wouldn't they? He didn't even pay for hosting or a domain.

Long term success can be derived from constant short term success.

I wasn't using exact numbers but that was my point. If what you say is true they would need to have 1 successful work day each week to earn what the average person who works their ass off at a full time job earns.

That's plenty of motivation. Threats from Cutts won't stop them.

The only people who are stopped by him are the ones who identify themselves as White Hats. His videos don't have any impact on Black Hatters. The same goes for 'email warnings,' 'link devaluations,' and even de-indexing.

Penguin 2.0 hurt White Hats mainly.

90% White Hat. That says it all. How do we know if it's the 10% of Black Hat you're doing that's causing your rankings or the 90% White Hat?

Dude, 'hats' are nothing but a belief system. Saying you believe in a 'hat system' is on par with religious or political beliefs IMHO.

I could care less about any of this b.s. paradigm. People are free to believe in whatever they want. Observation of the SERPs quickly reveals the facts.

Perhaps you should read some stories from people at Xrumer forums like the one from GodOverYou and you'll see how many people fail with it.

Create a new domain. Blast it before Google gets chance to even crawl it. Make sure anchor diversity is spot on. Drip-feed the links over a 24 or 48-hour period. Keep the on-page content over optimized for your main keyword (5-6%) and sprinkle in tons of related keywords and phrases.

The key is, you're looking to rank for a 24-hour period before Google even has a chance to go through their spam checks and determine your site a bunch of crap. You're abusing the Query Freshness aspect of the algorithm by sending tons of links to an over-optimized page.

The whole POINT is that Cutts just bragged about in his videos how they released an algorithm that ONLY targets payday loans. Another thing, there are articles calling out BH saying that payday loans niche is dead for them and they'll never rank in there...

It's global companies who I feel sorry for. Businesses like Wonga have earned an outstanding reputation for payday loans, yet their nowhere to be seen in Google's SERPs. You'd think that Google would have assigned an employee to manually assign the top rankings. As a customer of Google, I'd much prefer to see Wonga #1.

I made $2k in a week a while back from spamming one of my sites, when a celebrity s*x tape came out. The thing is, it's a short-term business and it sucks. I much prefer building sites now, that I can leave for the majority of the week, knowing that it's a passive income. Building churn-and-burn sites is a pain-in-the-arse and is almost as bad as working at McDonalds.
