Hi friends,

I have a little question.

Do Document Sharing Sites Help in SEO?

Actuallty this strategy came in front of my eyes recently and I want to know if you are utilizing it or not for SEO.

Does all kinds of formats will help in SEO including Power Point documents, MS Word Documents as well or just PDFs will work ?

    also keen for answers on this, would also like to ask if links in said shared doc's are of any seo value as clicking on a link in a downloaded doc is going to show up as an ip addy and not a domain.

    I had a low quality website that went from a pagerank n/a to a PR4 on the first pagerank update. Only links had were from Scribd and Slidsahre. Had about 25-30 pages though. So I would say it helps SEO. I don't have that site anymore so I couldnt tell you if it still works after all the updates Googles done.

    They sure wont hurt, the first one that comes to mind is scribd... Checking some link profiles I seen high authority/citation links coming from Scribd and it allows you to utilize one link on your profile. Depending on the content you upload it can also be a good source of traffic.
