Anyone know of a reputable service that will optimize your wordpress site for speed? I don't think it's a ranking factor that can boost you up, but it can certainly knock you down.

A plugin like WP Super Cache will help speed your site up generally.

Just got back from a #BrightonSEO. I was given room 404 in the hotel I stayed at. Couldn’t find it anywhere!

I agree. W3 total cache is my favorite cache plugin. There are a few other plugins that can help with speed. Try to find out what is causing your site to run slowly, and than find plugins that can fix those problems

Also, if you are having speed issues with your WordPress site, just realize that one single plugin can be the culprit. I have experienced this first hand. Needless to say, deactivating the plugin will solve the problem.

Of course, it is a matter of deduction to find the lagging plugin, which is easier said than done

First of All check your Website Speed Analysis through Google Page Speed Insights.

Review the Slowing points and re-correct them, Then i would suggest you to go with wordpress plugin for solving issues like, caching, Image Compression, Minify etc.

    Thanks

This is also a ranking factor, your site speed should be good, if it is slow then it would harm your SEO as well.

A Wordpress them can also affect the speed, so you should use any theme which is light and which has good speed..

If you are using too much flashy stuffs then it would also affect your speed.. you need to reduce flashy stuffs as well.

I never found wordpress to be slow enough that you really need to optimize it. Better contact your hosting people to allocate more bandwidth to you or upgrade your hosting plan.

Use the Cache Plugin that recommend by your hosting provider. Ask them which plugin is better suitted with them.

Some hosts recommend me to use: W3 Toal Cache
Some hosts recommend me to use: Wp Super Cache
    ...

And, the performance is really boost according to their server spec. along with Wordpress cache.

If your on a dedicated server some other things can also help but for wordpress these should be basically all you need:

      W3 Total Cache(this is a good start)

      WP-Optimize(removes old revisions,spam comments,optimises database tables)

WP Smush.it (optimizes image file sizes without changing quality)

Ajax thumbnail rebuild (rebuilds the thumbnails to get them optimised for your theme)

P3 Plugin Profiler (checks which plugins slow down your site)

I already have Quick Cache, which is super easy. But not sure it's optimizing enough.

Google Insights say I have a score of 81 out of 100.

I need to find out whats up with my website too. It's hitting 800mb and there isn't a lot of stuff on it. The Database is mere kilobytes.
