Doing SEO and most of the sites dont' rank - using the same strategy!

I've been doing SEO and always have pretty much one strategy, setting up the sites same way on different names/hosting accounts etc. But the issue is some sites do rank after couple of weeks and some sites just dont. Or some sites rank well and move up easy and some sites no matter how high and quality the links are just don't push forward.

Is there any way or a solution to always be able to rank every site? I figured its all the domain name and some just do well and some dont'. I mean I set them up 100% the same and 1 ranks the other doesn't, different accounts, different names, unique content etc. Help me out here if you can. Thank you all!

Best I can say is focus on the overall subject of the keyword & aim to rank multiple pages on the same domain for the same exact root keyword. If/when you rank multiple pages for a root keyword, the longtail keywords have a tendency to fall in your lap with basic on-page optimization. The real work is in ranking those root keywords.

Not every keyword is created equally unfortunately. Some keywords you'll have to put in a little more link love to get those page 1 rankings, even if these SERPs seem the same across the board.

You clearly have a decent keyword research strategy, but for the sites not ranking, you may just need to attract higher quality links.

What I would do is test it. See what it takes to rank a site that didn't hit page 1 immediately and find out how many more HIGH QUALITY links it takes get you there. Then you'll have, at minimum, a gauge on how much effort it will take and if the "juice is worth the squeeze".

SEO is not quite a science, it's part art form too. What I've noticed this year is new sites targeting very competitive keywords take quite some time to move, also the sites you have ranking may be ranking due to QDF (google it).....
