How Do You Prevent A Domain Losing Its PR

I would like to purchase some PR2,3 or 4 domains, but I have read that they can lose their page rank when you change them or post new content.
Can anyone tell me how to prevent this, and how to keep the original PR?

    Well you should first check if the PR of a domain is fake or real.

    To check, you can do a google search on "PR checker" and type in the domains on those websites and check.

    Once you check the PR value, you may also want to check the linking profile and domain age to judge if this PR value is trust worthy.

    Also check the domain whois record and compare those with the domain on the linking profiles, if you find those domain are owned by the same person, the links with the domain you want to purchase may be all gone once you buy from the seller.

    So far those domains on my blog networks, (after 1 year of purchase) the PR value are still there, and I will also build links on them to prevent further linking loss as well.
